IGN South Africa debuted a gripping first look at Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, an upcoming action drama starring Mahershala Ali as a hitman navigating faith, family, and survival.
IGN South Africa recently shared a tense opening clip for the upcoming action drama Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, directed by Bassam Tariq. The film stars Mahershala Ali as Latif, a devout hitman trying to reconcile his faith with his brutal profession. When tragedy strikes with the death of his wife, Latif finds himself on a desperate run across Houston to protect his children from closing threats and his own fracturing beliefs.
The project boasts a powerhouse cast alongside Ali, featuring John Cho, Giancarlo Esposito, Abubakr Ali, Tiffany Boone, and Tramell Tillman. With production handled by Lucan Toh, Babak Anvari, and Tariq, the creative team brings a heavy focus on atmosphere and character conflict. For audiences who appreciate sharp, narrative heavy crime dramas that lean into moral complexity, this looks like one to watch this autumn.
Cinematic storytelling often bleeds directly into gaming culture, especially for players who love grounded narrative experiences like the Yakuza series or Cyberpunk 2077. Seeing top tier acting talent dive into high stakes crime thrillers always sets a high bar for dramatic pacing. The film opens in select theaters on September 25 before expanding everywhere in October 2026.
