Liu Cixin's acclaimed sci-fi trilogy is getting a massive 1,344-page collector's edition from the Folio Society featuring custom artwork and scientific simulations.
Liu Cixin's landmark Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy is expanding beyond traditional paperbacks and streaming adaptations into a massive, luxury collector's edition. As reported by Polygon, the Folio Society is releasing a comprehensive 1,344-page volume combining The Three-Body Problem, The Dark Forest, and Death's End into a single release complete with an exclusive introduction and signed bookplates.
For fans of speculative fiction and complex world-building, the physical release leans heavily into the science that inspired the narrative. Illustrator Matt Griffin has provided 15 color illustrations and three black and white title-page spreads, while the book's lining features real three-body simulations generated through an MIT program. It is a striking tribute to a hard sci-fi franchise that has captured global attention across books, translated editions, and high-profile television screens.
Coming in at a steep $780 when it launches on September 8, the premium package targets dedicated collectors rather than casual readers. Still, with high-end book releases routinely selling out fast among pop culture enthusiasts, this massive volume proves that physical collector items remain a powerhouse for major intellectual properties.
