Publisher Neowiz and developer Round8 have officially announced that Lies of P: Complete Edition is heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 6. Arriving as a complete package that includes the base game and the critically acclaimed Overture DLC expansion, the release brings one of the standout action RPGs of recent years to Nintendo hardware. Originally winning over players in 2023 with its dark, mechanical take on the Pinocchio story, the title proved that studios outside of FromSoftware could deliver a polished, punishing experience that resonates deeply with the community.
This announcement highlights a shifting trend for Nintendo's upcoming hardware, which is steadily building a reputation for hosting heavy-hitting action titles. While Nintendo platforms are traditionally associated with family-friendly franchises, the Switch 2 is carving out a distinct space for demanding soulslike games. With titles like Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition and Wo Long 2 also locked in for the platform, players who prefer their gaming sessions on portable or hybrid setups will soon have access to some of the toughest challenges in modern gaming without needing to sit at a dedicated PC or home console.
Director Jiwon Choi shared excitement about bringing the dark fairy tale to a new audience and welcoming more players into the active community. For players who skipped the game during its initial release or want a definitive version with all post-launch content bundled together, the upcoming port offers an ideal entry point. Meanwhile, with a sequel already confirmed to be in full development at Neowiz, the timing could not be better for newcomers to jump in and see what the dark streets of Krat have to offer.
