LEGO has expanded its adult Super Mario collection with a new 22-bag Mario Kart set featuring Luigi and the Mach 8, complete with a tiltable display stand for dynamic posing.
The crossover between physical building blocks and classic gaming keeps growing. LEGO has revealed its latest addition to the Super Mario collection with the Luigi and Mach 8 set, bringing the iconic kart from Mario Kart 8 straight to the shelf. Aimed squarely at adult builders, the set captures the familiar vehicle design while leaning into the kind of detailed construction that makes these collector releases worth the desk space.
The build itself is no quick weekend project. Spanning 22 bags, the process relies on a sturdy Technic framework for the vehicle foundation before layering standard bricks to achieve the sleek curves of the Mach 8. Once completed, builders mount the model on a tiltable stand. That clever display feature lets you pose Luigi as if he is power-sliding through a sharp turn or driving up a steep incline on a classic track.
Releases like this show how well gaming intellectual property translates into physical collectibles for fans who grew up on the franchise. As communities continue to blend gaming nostalgia with hands on hobbies, sets like the Mach 8 offer a great way to bring virtual memories into the real world.
