The official launch trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has arrived via IGN South Africa, showcasing gameplay, cinematics, and a massive roster of heroes and villains ahead of its May 22 release.
The latest look at the brick universe is here, and it is shaping up to be a massive nostalgic playground for DC fans. IGN South Africa recently debuted the official launch trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, offering a fresh glimpse at the cinematics and gameplay coming to the action adventure title. The footage leans heavily into the sprawling cast of heroes and villains we have come to expect from Gotham, putting characters like Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul front and center alongside the Dark Knight.
Naturally, the hero roster has plenty of iconic opposition to punch through in classic LEGO fashion. The trailer showcases encounters with a heavy hitting rogue gallery including The Joker, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Two Face, Ra is al Ghul, and Bane. For players who grew up trading physical sets or smashing virtual plastic bricks on the couch with friends, this project looks ready to deliver that familiar blend of lighthearted chaos and cooperative puzzle solving.
When it comes to availability, the wait is almost over. The game launches on May 22, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. If you are eager to jump in early, picking up the Deluxe Edition unlocks a seventy two hour early access period starting on May 19, 2026. Keep an eye on your favorite creators for early gameplay breakdowns as launch day approaches.
