Lego and Toei Animation are launching a new partnership centered on Dragon Ball, starting with a 1,764-piece Shenron and Kid Goku set arriving in November 2026.
Polygon reports that Lego and Toei Animation have officially teamed up to bring Akira Toriyama's legendary franchise into the brick building universe. The first release, the Lego Icons Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku set, captures the iconic moment the Eternal Dragon rises from the seven Dragon Balls with Kid Goku riding his Kintoun. Comprising 1,764 pieces and standing over 12 inches tall, the centerpiece comes complete with a detailed diorama and a Kid Goku minifigure.
Priced at $179.99, the set is targeted at older collectors and launches this November. Lego Insiders get early access starting November 1, followed by a wider release on November 4. Both companies confirmed that this release is just the kickoff for a much larger multi-year partnership, with additional Dragon Ball sets already scheduled to roll out through 2027.
For modern collectors and gaming fans who love physical display pieces alongside their digital setups, this collaboration has been a long time coming. Dragon Ball has heavily influenced decades of gaming culture, action RPGs, and fighting games. Seeing the franchise finally make the jump to Lego opens the door for plenty of fan excitement and potential future builds as the partnership expands.
