A new report suggests Naughty Dog is developing a brand-new Uncharted game featuring Nathan Drake, slated to follow the release of their upcoming sci-fi project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
According to a recent report from MP1st, Naughty Dog is developing a brand-new Uncharted game that will feature longtime franchise protagonist Nathan Drake. While details remain scarce and players should view the leak with caution until an official announcement arrives, the report notes that the project is definitively not a remake. It is still unclear whether Drake will return as the primary playable character or step into a supporting role for a brand-new adventure.
The project is reportedly being directed by Shaun Escayag, who previously led work on The Lost Legacy. Sources indicate that this new Uncharted installment will be next in line for Naughty Dog following the release and proper unveiling of their upcoming sci-fi action adventure, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, planned for 2027. Previous rumors suggested that work on a new Uncharted title had been underway in some capacity for years, though production timelines remain fluid.
For Naughty Dog, balancing this legacy franchise with other ongoing efforts like multiple Last of Us projects shows the studio is keeping busy across multiple fronts. While we wait for official confirmation, the prospect of heading back into the field with Nathan Drake gives the community plenty to look forward to as the studio rounds out its current development slate.
