Konami and developer Screen Burn debuted the first gameplay and combat footage for Silent Hill: Townfall during the February 2026 PlayStation State of Play, confirming a 2026 release for PS5 and PC.
Four years after its initial teaser, Konami has finally pulled back the curtain on Silent Hill: Townfall. During the February 2026 PlayStation State of Play, developer Screen Burn and publisher Annapurna Interactive showcased the first real look at gameplay and combat for the upcoming psychological horror spin-off. This release represents the final piece of the five major Silent Hill projects Konami announced back in 2022, continuing the publisher's steady cadence of reviving its legendary horror franchise.
The new trailer picks up where the 2022 teaser left off, featuring a protagonist named Simon receiving a cryptic radio transmission from a woman urging him to return to her. Simon soon awakens in a desolate, fog-shrouded location called St. Amelia, complete with abandoned streets, protest signs, and lingering traces of social unrest. Most notably, the footage gives us our first glimpse of the game in action, confirming a first-person perspective where players use a portable radio to track unseen threats before defending themselves with crude melee weapons like wooden planks and firearms.
Development is being handled by Screen Burn, formerly known as No Code, the studio behind acclaimed narrative sci-fi thrillers like Observation. Silent Hill: Townfall is currently slated for a 2026 release window on PlayStation 5 and PC, and players can already wishlist the game on Steam. As Konami pushes forward with its strategy of delivering a fresh Silent Hill experience annually, fans tuning into the post-show Silent Hill Transmission are getting even more details on what this dark new chapter holds.
