Konami is teaming up with CatCon to release an official Metal Gear Solid cat accessory collection in October, featuring themed scratching boxes, plush toys, and a drum-shaped cat tree.
Konami is bringing tactical espionage action to your living room with a brand new line of Metal Gear Solid accessories built specifically for cats. Revealed alongside reporting from Game Rant, the upcoming collection includes items like plush toys shaped like the iconic alert exclamation point, cat collars, and cardboard scratching boxes modeled after the pink Love Box from Peace Walker. There is even a two-level cat tree designed to look like an in-game cylindrical drum. The line is being developed in partnership with CatCon and will make its debut at the Pasadena Convention Center on October 10 and 11.
For players who cannot attend the convention in person, Konami has confirmed that the cat scratchers will also be available online via OKS GEAR during those same dates. Given how much cats naturally love hiding in cardboard boxes, the collaboration fits the franchise's long-running running gag about sneaking around undetected. At the same time, high-demand limited merchandise often attracts heavy attention from both dedicated fans and scalpers, so anyone hoping to grab a piece for their pet should be ready to move quickly when the store goes live.
This quirky merch drop arrives right alongside a busy period for the franchise, following the recent launch of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2. As players dive back into classics like Guns of the Patriots and Peace Walker on modern hardware, this feline-focused release proves that publishers are still finding creative ways to bridge gaming culture with everyday pet ownership. It is a fun crossover that leans into community memes, giving players a chance to bring a piece of stealth history into their homes while keeping their cats entertained.
