Kojima Productions and Dynsys are releasing a limited edition Death Stranding 2 exoskeleton for real-world hiking and climbing, complete with in-game aesthetic touches and performance boosts.
Kojima Productions has partnered with exoskeleton creator Dynsys to build a real wearable device inspired by Death Stranding 2 on the Beach. Co-designed by the studio's legendary art director Yoji Shinkawa, the Z1 Exoskeleton Pro - Death Stranding 2 on the Beach Limited Edition is built for actual hiking and climbing. It features built-in status lights to check battery levels just like the gear protagonist Sam Porter Bridges relies on during his grueling delivery runs.
According to specifications on the Dynsys website, the hardware is designed to significantly boost outdoor performance. The unit promises to extend hiking endurance by 15.5 miles and vertical climbing by 9.3 miles, while adding fifty percent extra power to every step. It also claims to reduce knee pressure significantly and make users feel up to forty-four pounds lighter. While the base Z1 hardware has seen crowdfunding tiers ranging from $749 to $2,298, exact retail pricing for this specific limited edition collaboration remains under wraps ahead of its December 2 launch.
For players looking to secure one without breaking the bank, Dynsys and Kojima Productions are hosting a community giveaway. Three winners will receive a free unit by entering the Share Your Journey Mission, which requires fans to document their outdoor adventures on social media and submit proof to the manufacturer. As gaming hardware and real-world lifestyle gear continue to blur, this release offers a fascinating glimpse into how virtual utility items are crossing over into physical reality.
