Fortnite's latest update introduces Kingdom Hearts characters and weapons alongside Cyberpunk Edgerunners gear, marking another massive crossover event for the battle royale.
Fortnite continues to cement its status as the ultimate virtual crossover hub with its latest patch. Following a brief delay, the second major update for Override brings both Kingdom Hearts and Cyberpunk Edgerunners directly to the island. Players can now grab Sora, Roxas, Kairi, and Riku from the Item Shop, complete with the iconic Kingdom Key melee weapon and Sea Salt Ice Cream consumables added straight to the standard loot pool. For those wanting a guaranteed taste of the action, upcoming Kingdom Hearts Power Hours will drop these items directly into player inventories at set times.
The crossover momentum does not stop there, as Cyberpunk Edgerunners makes its presence known through a tough new boss encounter. Players taking down the Adam Smash boss can secure Rebecca's Guns, including an Exotic variant featuring ricocheting bullets that promises to shake up current combat metas. Epic Games is also rolling out additional loot hacks utilizing Sprite Dust, giving players fresh ways to unlock firearms like the Mammoth Pistol and Reaper Sniper Rifle while hunting down new hidden sprites across the map.
As reported by Polygon, this massive content drop is just part of a broader wave of collaborations heading to the game, with references to Persona 5, Pac-Man, and creator Ironmouse also on the horizon. For a community that treats Fortnite as both a battle royale and a digital hangout space, these continuous crossover events keep the island feeling fresh and culturally relevant. Whether you are chasing competitive dominance with new weapons or just looking to flex rare skins with friends, this update offers plenty of reasons to drop back in.
