July 2025's PS Plus Lineup: 'Cyberpunk' Saves the Day (and a Bunch of Other Games Too!)

Sony's PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers are getting a boost in July 2025, headlined by the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077 and a few other intriguing titles, making it a decent month for subscribers… unless they try to cancel their subscription, that is.
Right, so the wizards at Sony have pulled a rabbit – or, rather, a whole bloody game library – out of their hat for July 2025's PS Plus offerings. And fair dinkum, it's not half bad. According to Game Rant, the Extra and Premium tiers are getting a serious injection of content, including a few titles that might actually tempt you away from that pile of shame gathering dust in the corner.
The big kahuna? Cyberpunk 2077. Yep, CD Projekt Red's once-beleaguered (but now arguably brilliant) sci-fi RPG is heading to PS Plus. It's like they finally figured out how to cast that 'perfect launch' spell, eh? And, get this, they're even chucking in a 30% discount on the Phantom Liberty DLC for subscribers until July 23rd. Not bad, Sony, not bad at all.
But wait, there's more! (I always wanted to say that). Day-one fans rejoice! Abiotic Factor, a co-op survival crafting game, also launches on PS5 via PS Plus Extra and Premium on July 22nd. Sounds like a right laugh, if you're into that whole 'building a base while avoiding mutated creatures' kinda thing.
The rest of the lineup is a bit of a mixed bag, truth be told, but there are a few gems scattered in there like shiny digital pebbles. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Planet Zoo: Console Edition, Bluey: The Videogame, Risk of Rain 2, Tropico 6, and New World: Aeternum are all joining the Extra tier on July 15th. Something for everyone, I reckon.
And for the Premium members, those nostalgic wizards with a hankering for the good old days? Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4 are making a comeback on the same day, perfectly timed for the launch of Twisted Metal Season 2 on July 31st. Coincidence? I think not! (Okay, maybe a little).
Game Rant also points out that Diablo 4 is heading to the Essential tier this month. So, all in all, July 2025 looks like a pretty solid month for PS Plus. Let's just hope they've sorted out that whole 'Cancel Subscription' debacle. No one likes a confusing menu, especially when it comes to their hard-earned cash, right? But hey, at least we've got some decent games to distract us from the corporate shenanigans.
