Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton has been delayed to 2027, as developer poncle and Shueisha Games take extra time to polish the upcoming survival game.
Anime juggernaut Jujutsu Kaisen is taking a bit longer to make its mark on the multiplayer survival genre. Shueisha Games and developer poncle have officially confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is moving its launch window from 2026 to 2027. Originally revealed during a Nintendo Direct stream, the project brings together the bullet heaven mechanics pioneered by Vampire Survivors with the dark fantasy world of Cursed Spirits and sorcerers.
According to the development team, the extra time is necessary to ensure the final product delivers the best possible experience for players. The upcoming title features an ambitious setup that includes an eight-player PvP battle royale mode alongside a roster of over 20 fan-favorite characters from the franchise. When it eventually arrives, it will land across current-gen platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, the next-generation Nintendo hardware, and PC via Steam.
Delays are never fun for communities waiting to dive into a high-profile crossover, but the pairing of poncle's addictive survival gameplay with a massive anime IP remains a compelling prospect. As franchises like this continue to expand across streaming platforms, mobile ecosystems, and dedicated gaming hardware, taking extra polish time is usually the right call for long-term player retention and community health. Fans will just have to wait a little longer before they can test their survival skills against waves of curses.
