Jasmine Bhullar has confirmed her return as Dungeon Master for season 2 of Dungeons & Dragons: Dungeon Masters, shifting the actual play series to Innsmouth to face Cthulhu.
Following an intense and emotional season finale, Jasmine Bhullar has officially confirmed she will return to the DM chair for the second season of Dungeons & Dragons: Dungeon Masters. In an interview with Polygon, Bhullar reflected on the challenges of guiding a star-studded cast through the nightmare realm of Sithicus and facing the infamous Lord Soth during the show's first eight-episode run. The official actual play series successfully bridged the gap between traditional tabletop play and high-production streaming entertainment while laying the groundwork for the Ravenloft: The Horrors Within campaign setting.
Season 2 is scheduled to kick off next week, shifting locations to a brand-new Domain of Dread in Innsmouth where the party will confront the legendary eldritch terror Cthulhu. Bhullar discussed how she manages the delicate balance of honoring deep Dungeons & Dragons lore while keeping the broadcast accessible and engaging for newcomers tuning in on streaming platforms. She noted that her preference for succinct, unedited play sessions helped her craft a pressure cooker environment where character backstories emerged organically without getting bogged down in rules.
The upcoming season features the return of the collaborative storytelling format that resonated so strongly with the actual play community during the show's debut. As streaming and creator culture continue to drive tabletop gaming adoption across platforms, productions like Dungeon Masters serve as both high-tier entertainment and practical entry points for players looking to start their own campaigns.
