IO Interactive's 007 First Light will feature the ultra-exclusive Aston Martin Valhalla, a plug-in hypercar limited to just 999 real-world units, ahead of the game's March 2026 release across multiple platforms.
James Bond and luxury sports cars are an inseparable duo, and IO Interactive is leaning hard into that legacy for the upcoming 007 First Light. During a recent Xbox Partner Preview showcase, the Hitman developer revealed that the spy thriller will feature the Aston Martin Valhalla. This vehicle is the manufacturer's first ever mid-engine plug-in hypercar. Borrowing inspiration from the extreme Valkyrie while packing genuine Formula 1 technology under the hood, the Valhalla is a massive flex for gaming's newest iteration of 007.
IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak noted that vehicles have always served as a core reflection of Bond's style, ingenuity, and daring personality. Given that Aston Martin is limiting production of the real world Valhalla to just 999 units globally, digital ownership in this case gives players a chance to pilot a machine that most enthusiasts will only ever admire from behind a velvet rope. Naturally, players can expect Bond's in-game variant to feature a few custom modifications tailored for international espionage.
Originally reported by Victoria Phillips Kennedy over at Eurogamer, the reveal adds another layer of excitement as 007 First Light gears up for its multi-platform launch. The game is scheduled to drop on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and the Switch 2 on March 27, 2026. As the industry continues to push cross-platform fidelity, seeing how IO Interactive integrates signature hardware into modern gameplay will be a major talking point for both automotive fans and stealth action lovers when launch day finally arrives.
