Invincible VS Prepares for April Open Beta and Reveals Allen the Alien

Quarter Up and Skybound Games announced an April open beta for Invincible VS on PS5 and Xbox Series X, featuring ten characters including the newly revealed Allen the Alien ahead of the full April 30 launch.

Fighting game fans and comic enthusiasts are getting a chance to test out the upcoming tag-team brawler Invincible VS ahead of its official launch. Developer Quarter Up and publisher Skybound Games announced that an open beta will run from April 9 through April 11 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X users, though PC players will unfortunately have to wait for the full release. The beta will feature ten of the eighteen fighters scheduled for the launch roster, including fan favorites like Mark Grayson, Atom Eve, and Omni-Man.

The open beta will also give players their first hands-on experience with Allen the Alien, the cosmic bureaucrat and friend to Mark who scales up to go toe-to-toe with powerful Viltrumites. While characters like Allen and the original elemental fighter Ella-Mental expand the variety of the roster, the development team is placing heavy emphasis on crafting a tournament-quality fighting system. Executive producer Mike Willette previously noted that the core goal is to deliver a brutal superhuman experience where every player feels like a powerhouse during matches.

Following the weekend beta, the full version of Invincible VS drops on April 30 for PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. Like many contemporary titles in the genre, the game is leaning into post-launch monetization with a confirmed Year 1 Character Pass that will introduce four additional fighters, with the first two scheduled to arrive in June.
