Sony and Insomniac Games have announced a Marvel's Wolverine limited edition PS5 console bundle and standalone disc drive covers, launching on September 15 alongside the game.
Sony and Insomniac Games are pulling out all the stops for their next big superhero release. According to a recent report by IGN South Africa, the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive Marvel's Wolverine is getting a dedicated limited edition console bundle alongside a full line of custom accessories. The hardware package leans heavily into classic comic book nostalgia by sporting a striking yellow design inspired by Logan's iconic suit. Both the console plates and the matching DualSense controller feature a brutal claw slash motif, topped off with a roaring portrait of Wolverine dominating the upper third of the console.
For players who already own a current system, Sony is also releasing standalone physical disc drive covers and digital edition faceplates featuring the same thematic design. This gives existing hardware owners an easy way to match their setup without buying a brand new console. Special edition hardware drops have become a major tentpole for major platform exclusives, letting dedicated communities show off their fandom while upgrading their entertainment centers.
The timing lines up directly with the game's launch, giving collectors and fans a chance to grab the bundle starting September 15. As digital ownership continues to dominate modern gaming ecosystems, physical collector items like custom faceplates and limited edition consoles remain a popular way for players to physically anchor their favorite digital experiences in their real-world spaces.
