Hulu announced at CCXP that Paradise Season 2 will premiere on February 23, bringing back Sterling K. Brown and introducing Shailene Woodley as the story expands beyond the bunker.
Hulu has officially pulled back the curtain on the highly anticipated second season of its hit drama series Paradise, revealing both a premiere date and a fresh teaser trailer during a panel at the CCXP convention in São Paulo, Brazil. Series star Sterling K. Brown, creator Dan Fogelman, and new addition Shailene Woodley took the stage to announce that the show will return on February 23. Fans tuning in can watch the new episodes on Hulu and via Hulu on Disney Plus, keeping up with the high stakes of a post-collapse society from whatever screen or platform they prefer.
The upcoming season picks up after the massive twists of the series debut, which saw secret service agent Xavier Collins, played by Brown, working to solve the murder of the president of the United States. According to the official synopsis provided by Hulu, Season 2 broadens its scope significantly. Xavier ventures out into the wider world to search for Teri, discovering how everyday people managed to survive the three years following the apocalyptic event known as The Day. Meanwhile, back inside the bunker city of Paradise, the social structure begins to fracture under the weight of Season 1 fallout and newly unearthed historical secrets.
Speaking to the CCXP crowd, Brown elaborated on the thematic shift of the new episodes. He highlighted the resourcefulness of humanity and the necessity of cooperation when facing insurmountable odds, moving the narrative beyond mere paranoia and survivalism. For viewers who follow the series as part of their regular streaming rotation, the expansion from claustrophobic bunker politics to a wider wasteland exploration promises a compelling escalation of tension.
