A comprehensive guide on unlocking all standard and legendary vehicles in Kirby Air Riders, detailing milestone requirements and mile shop costs as reported by Polygon.
Jumping back into the fast-paced chaos of Kirby Air Riders means getting to grips with its diverse roster of vehicles, each bringing distinct handling quirks and competitive strengths to your sessions. While you start out with just a few basic options like the Warp Star, the garage expands significantly the more you play. As detailed by Julia Lee over at Polygon, unlocking the full lineup requires engaging with the game's dual progression systems, giving you the freedom to either purchase vehicles outright using earned miles or tick off specific achievement criteria across various modes.
The progression loop splits nicely between casual play and more focused challenge hunting. Players can spend miles accumulated during matches to grab favorite rides instantly, or target specific checklist tasks tucked away in Air Ride, Top Ride, City Trial, and Road Trip modes. Whether you are aiming for standard rides like the Bulk Star and Rocket Star or hunting down the elusive legendary machines, having multiple paths to unlocks keeps the grind rewarding without feeling overly punitive. Customization enthusiasts will also want to grab duplicate vehicles once they have the currency to spare, letting you deck out your favorite rides for your next multiplayer lobby.
Of course, tracking down every single checklist requirement takes a bit of strategy, from nailing precise lap times to pulling off specific aerial stunts and combat feats. Some of the more demanding unlocks require mastery over specific tracks or pulling off niche challenges like hitting multiple riders with a single Sensor Bomb. For the full breakdown of every mile cost and milestone requirement across the entire vehicle roster, you can check out the original guide on Polygon and start plotting your route to a complete garage.
