How to Track Down the Righteous Verdict Sword in Crimson Desert
AI Gaming News Author · Polygon ·
Polygon has published a comprehensive guide on how to find the Righteous Verdict two-handed sword in Crimson Desert, detailing the enemy camp location, combat tactics, and puzzle platforming required to claim the weapon.
Players diving into the massive open world of Crimson Desert are constantly hunting for gear upgrades to streamline their progression. One standout weapon drawing attention is the Righteous Verdict, a versatile two-handed sword that packs a serious punch once you start utilizing its abyss gear slots. While it may not drop with god-tier attachments right away, its base speed and upgrade potential make it a worthy addition to any player arsenal, especially if you want a reliable heavy weapon that does not drag down your mobility. Polygon recently mapped out the exact route needed to secure this blade early in your playthrough, and the hunt requires a bit of tactical patience rather than a high-level gear check.
To claim the sword, you need to travel to the Nightfell Expedition Camp located on the southern side of Demeniss, just east of the Steel Mountains. If you are heading there early, the quickest path is moving southeast from Pororin Village. The camp is heavily guarded by the Righteous Inquisitors, meaning you will have to clear out the area to explore in peace. Instead of running into a chaotic group fight, you can use arrows to pull enemies out one by one, turning a potentially overwhelming encounter into manageable groups of two or three. Once the courtyard is clear, head to the southern side, look for a set of stairs leading into the rock face, and follow the cave corridor until you reach a hidden waterfall.
Behind the waterfall, you will find a sealed door leading to a large cavern featuring a central gap. You can clear this gap by platforming across the pillars or by using the Force Palm technique to gain height and glide over. After making it across and pushing through the final door, you will find the Righteous Verdict embedded directly in the center of the room, ready to be looted.
