How to Track Down the Elusive Windup Inkay in Pokémon Pokopia

A quick guide on how to bypass the random shop rotation and find the free windup Inkay habitat item hidden in the Bubbly Basin DLC for Pokémon Pokopia.

If you are spending your time diving into the Bubbly Basin expansion in Pokémon Pokopia, you are probably hunting down every last habitat item to fill out your collection. One of the trickier pieces to secure is the windup Inkay. While you can occasionally stumble across it in your daily shop rotation if you happen to get lucky, relying on random vendor refreshes is a frustrating way to finish your goals. Fortunately, there is a completely free one waiting for you out in the world, assuming you know where to look in the deep ocean.

To find the hidden windup Inkay, you need to head out of the main town in Bubbly Basin and travel north until you spot the path dropping off into the ocean depths. Dive down and follow the submerged road west past the pavilion where you pick up the seashell seat for Barboach. Keep moving along that road until you see brick blocks lining the wall, which is your cue to turn left and head into the tunnel.

Once you are inside the tunnel, look for a cluster of rocks midway through that you can clear using Rock Smash. Breaking through reveals a hidden chamber where the windup Inkay is waiting inside a red Poké Ball. As a nice bonus, the surrounding area also hides a sand-blocked side room packed with grubby pearls if you need to stock up on crafting materials while you explore.
