How to Track Down and Unlock the White Bear Mount in Crimson Desert

Polygon's latest guide details how Crimson Desert players can trade their standard horses for a powerful legendary White Bear mount by tracking it down in Pailune, defeating it in combat, and crafting a special sigil with a witch.
If you are looking to upgrade your traversal options in Crimson Desert, you might want to swap out your standard horse for something a bit more formidable. According to a recent guide by Marloes Valentina Stella over at Polygon, players can trade traditional mounts for an imposing polar bear that not only handles combat with ease, but also jumps higher than any equine steed in the game. Tracking down this legendary creature requires some preparation, including progressing far enough in the story to unlock any witch character beyond Sylvia, such as Elowen from Chapter 5.
Finding the target involves heading to the northwest section of Pailune and locating the abyss nexus positioned between Five-Finger Mountain and Silver Wolf Mountain. The White Bear waits just a short walk south of that nexus, though preparing for a tough fight is essential. Players need to watch out for devastating grab attacks and utilize high ground or ranged tactics if the melee heat gets too intense. Once the beast falls, skinning it yields the White Bear Claws necessary for the next step of the process.
To finally claim the mount, take those claws to any witch character except Sylvia and open the Craft Abyss Gear menu. Navigating to the Special Items tab lets you craft the Sigil of Solidarity, which drops straight into your inventory for immediate use. Activating the item unlocks the mount permanently, letting you summon your new combat companion straight from the character selection wheel whenever you explore the massive open world of Pywel.
