Hot Wheels Infinite Rush was officially revealed during the IGN Summer of Gaming 2026 showcase, promising open-world arcade racing across cities and beaches when it launches on September 24, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Switch 2.
Mattel is taking its iconic die-cast franchise in a much bigger direction. During the IGN Summer of Gaming 2026 showcase, the official reveal trailer for Hot Wheels Infinite Rush gave players a first look at a brand-new arcade racing experience. Instead of keeping players strictly confined to traditional orange track pieces, the upcoming title encourages open exploration across sprawling urban environments, sun-drenched beaches, and varied landscapes that blend classic toy box nostalgia with wide-open sandbox racing.
The timing of the release points to a busy autumn window for racing fans. Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is locked in for a September 24, 2026 launch. Developer and publisher teams confirmed that the game will land simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo's successor console, currently referred to as the Switch 2. This cross-platform availability ensures that the community will be able to jump in together on day one, regardless of their preferred hardware ecosystem.
For anyone who grew up launching miniature cars off living room furniture, the shift toward expansive sandbox tracks feels like a natural evolution. Modern arcade racers live or die by their social features, creation tools, and seamless multiplayer integration. As we get closer to the September release date, all eyes will be on how Mattel handles vehicle customization, digital economies, and community track sharing in this ambitious new outing. You can check out the initial reveal trailer over at IGN South Africa for a full look at the chaotic track design in action.
