HoYoverse revealed new details for Honkai: Star Rail version 3.8, featuring a return to Penacony, a new Fire Nihility character, and time-sensitive livestream codes for free Stellar Jade.
HoYoverse just wrapped up its latest broadcast for Honkai: Star Rail, giving players a look ahead at the upcoming version 3.8 update launching on the evening of December 16. While the story on Amphoreus has largely wrapped up, this upcoming patch takes players back to Penacony and introduces The Dahlia, a brand new playable Fire Nihility character. HoYoverse also noted that version 3.8 will run for an extra two weeks, giving the community plenty of time to explore the extended patch cycle.
As standard practice for these major updates, the livestream also brought a fresh batch of promotional codes for free Stellar Jade and essential upgrade materials. Because these particular codes are on a very strict timeline and typically expire within a day, players need to redeem them quickly to secure the free currency before it vanishes.
You can claim the rewards directly in the game by opening your menu, tapping the ellipses in the top right corner, and selecting the redemption code option. Alternatively, you can head over to the official Honkai: Star Rail redemption website, log into your account, select your correct server, and enter your active UID to credit the items straight to your in-game mailbox. For full details on the dropped codes and direct redemption links, you can check out the original coverage over at Polygon.
