Highguard Episode 2 launches with a new Warden named Ekon, the Wolf Mount, the Skydrift map, and a long awaited Ranked Mode for the free to play PvP raid shooter on PC and current gen consoles.
The team behind Highguard has just dropped the official gameplay trailer for Episode 2, giving players a clear look at the next major content wave for the free to play PvP raid shooter. Available now across Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, the update leans hard into expansion, adding a fresh playable character, a new map, traversal options, and a long awaited competitive structure. It is a solid expansion for a game that blends tactical mounting with fast paced magical gunplay.
Headlining the update is Ekon, a new Warden designed around a fierce aesthetic that brings a wolf theme straight into the roster. Alongside Ekon comes the introduction of the Wolf Mount, letting squads coordinate faster movement and tactical approaches across the battlefield. The new map, Skydrift, shakes up standard engagement distances with colossal chain bridges and Sky Jumpers that launch players over a massive central vortex, rewarding verticality and quick map awareness.
Perhaps the biggest shift for the active community is the arrival of Ranked Mode. As live service games live or die by their competitive longevity, adding a dedicated ladder gives players a reason to grind beyond seasonal battle passes and cosmetic unlocks. By pairing ranked progression with fresh sandbox toys, Highguard is making a strong play to retain its cross platform player base.
