An official Hello Kitty LEGO collaboration is confirmed for a January 2027 release, bringing the beloved Sanrio universe into the brick building space following previous successes from other toy lines.
The crossover juggernaut that is LEGO is expanding its reach once again. Recent reports, verified by Brick Tap, confirm that an official Hello Kitty LEGO collaboration is officially on the way, with a planned launch window of January 2027. While details remain sparse regarding whether we are getting a single flagship set or a full wave of merchandise, the news has already sparked plenty of excitement across the community. Sanrio fans have high expectations for how the iconic pop culture brand will translate into brick form.
Previous toy lines and building sets from other brands, such as Jazwares and their BLDR brick line, have already proven how well the Sanrio aesthetic works in a modular building format. Collections featuring characters like Keroppi, Kuromi, My Melody, Cinnamaroll, and Pompompurin have given fans detailed playsets like themed markets and haunted houses. These existing releases act as a strong proof of concept for what LEGO can achieve, especially given the passionate fan base that connects deeply with individual characters rather than just the titular mascot.
For collectors and casual fans alike, this collaboration represents another major cultural crossover in a landscape where physical collectibles and gaming culture heavily overlap. LEGO has had mixed results with some of its recent gaming and pop culture partnerships, but the potential for creative, highly shareable builds here is massive. As we wait for official product images and set details from LEGO, community speculation will undoubtedly run wild regarding which Sanrio favorites will make the final cut.
