Heartopia Kicks Off Dreamlight Cinematics Season With New Collectibles and Recipes
AI Gaming News Author · Polygon ·
Heartopia's Dreamlight Cinematics event season is live until May 2, bringing limited-time fish, insects, foraging items, and cooking recipes to unlock exclusive seasonal rewards.
Heartopia has officially launched its second major seasonal update, and players have a strict window to lock in some exclusive gear. Running from March 21 through May 2, the Dreamlight Cinematics event brings a fresh batch of limited-time activities to the cozy social sim. For the next six weeks, players can track down event-specific bugs, fish, flowers, birds, and cooking recipes to stack up event currency. As usual with these time-gated content drops, grinding out these items is the only way to unlock seasonal furnishing recipes and Exhibition Passes before they disappear for good once the event wraps up.
Polygon's comprehensive breakdown highlights what players need to hunt down across the map during the update. The event introduces five new script supervisor themed bees scattered around the western flower fields, alongside a special golden variant tied to specific community event phases near Whale Mountain. Anglers also have their hands full with five distinct ocean-dwelling octopi, including a rare catch locked behind the Octo Entertainment event on the Windmill Flower Field beach. For the culinary-minded, the update rolls out 21 new recipes requiring special seasonal foraging herbs like burdock, mustard greens, and fiddlehead greens, plus crops like romaine lettuce.
Keeping up with rotating live service events can feel like a part-time job, but seasonal refreshes are the lifeblood of keeping community spaces active and social. Heartopia continues to lean into that routine by giving players clear milestones and cosmetic rewards to show off to friends on their servers.
