Hatsune Miku Magic: The Gathering Commander Deck Leaked Through Another Shipping Error

A Wizards of the Coast shipping error has leaked an unannounced Magic: The Gathering Hatsune Miku Commander deck, which quickly surpassed $3,000 in an eBay auction.
Wizards of the Coast has once again managed to turn a logistical mixup into a major community reveal. As originally reported by Polygon, a customer who ordered a recent Goblin Storm Secret Lair product instead received an unannounced green-white Commander deck starring virtual pop star Hatsune Miku. The sealed package quickly made its way to eBay via a seller named thenerdysatyr, where competitive bidding pushed the price past the three thousand dollar mark before any buyer could even verify the full contents inside.
Only the top card is currently visible, revealing a green-white reprint of Trostani, Selesnya's Voice now titled Miku, Song of the People. The original card focuses heavily on creature tokens and lifegain synergies, making it a natural mechanical fit for a beloved vocalist. This accidental delivery follows a remarkably similar incident back in March when buyers received the Goblin Storm deck instead of the Dandan Secret Lair. For collectors and players tracking secondary market valuations, these recurring warehouse errors have effectively turned routine shipping mishaps into high-stakes digital and physical treasure hunts.
This crossover builds on an established partnership between Wizards of the Coast and the global virtual pop star. Secret Lair previously released four seasonal Miku drops throughout 2024, featuring powerful reprints like Elspeth Tirel and Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury that heavily support token-heavy playstyles. With the current eBay auction set to close in early June, the winning bidder will likely share the complete decklist online. Whether this forces Wizards of the Coast to officially announce the product early remains to be seen, but the community is already watching closely to see what else might be hiding in the box.
