Hallmark has previewed its 2026 Keepsake Ornaments, featuring a detailed original PlayStation replica that includes lighting effects and the console's iconic startup audio.
Holiday merchandise schedules always move fast, but Hallmark is already looking ahead to the 2026 lineup with a piece of hardware that hits right in the nostalgia. Revealed as part of the latest Keepsake Ornaments wave, the new item is a miniature, highly detailed recreation of the original PlayStation console. Beyond the visual accuracy, which includes a tiny replica disc drive, the ornament features built-in lighting effects and actually plays the console's unforgettable startup sound.
For anyone who grew up with the grey box sitting under the television, hearing that specific audio cue brings back memories of long weekend sessions and shifting disc trays. It is a clever nod to gaming history that bridges the gap between retro hardware appreciation and modern holiday collecting. While we are still months away from December, physical memorabilia like this continues to find a ready audience among players who love displaying their gaming roots in their living spaces.
As reported by IGN South Africa, this piece stands out as the highlight of the current gaming-themed ornament collection. Whether you plan to hang it from a tree or keep it on your desk setup year-round alongside your controllers and collectibles, it is a fun little tribute to the hardware that shaped modern gaming culture.
