GTA Online Goes Tropical: Cayo Perico Motor Wars Delivers Chaos (and Cash!)

Rockstar's unleashed a new mode, Cayo Perico Motor Wars, on *GTA Online*, offering double (or quadruple, if you're a subscriber) rewards for vehicular mayhem on El Rubio's island paradise. Plus, there's a bunch of discounts and bonuses to keep you coming back for more... at least until *GTA 6* rocks up.

Right, so *GTA Online* is still kicking, and Rockstar's just dropped another update, this time slinging us headfirst into the sunny (and incredibly violent) Cayo Perico Motor Wars. Game Rant was all over it, and frankly, it sounds like proper mayhem.

Basically, El Rubio's island paradise is now a shrinking arena of vehicular carnage. Think classic Motor Wars, but with added humidity and the ever-present threat of getting your face rearranged by a rogue palm tree. You'll be battling it out in the air, on the roads, and skulking through the undergrowth (good luck with that, mate, El Rubio's got guards everywhere). Expect weapons, vehicles, and enough tactical opportunities to make your head spin.

Now, here's the kicker: everyone gets 2X GTA$ and RP for playing this new mode for the next two weeks. But, if you're a GTA+ member (those bloody subscribers!), you're swimming in a frankly ridiculous 4X GTA$ and RP. Is it fair? Probably not. Is it tempting me to finally cave and subscribe? Don't tell Rockstar, but maybe.

But wait, there's more! (Sound familiar? Like every bloody update ever?) You can snag a Gold Gun Necklace just for surviving a session of Cayo Perico Motor Wars. A stylish souvenir, apparently, delivered within 72 hours. And, for all you delivery drivers out there, making three Safeguard deliveries gets you a cool GTA$100,000 bonus. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy... if you don't get blown up first.

If you're tired of shooting each other, there are also bonuses galore across the island. Buried stashes are paying out 3X GTA$ and RP. Treasure Chests, too! So dust off your metal detector (remember that beached partygoer from ages ago?) and get digging. Featured Series playlists are also handing out double rewards if you fancy a classic game of Top Fun, Turf Wars, Sumo, or Come Out to Play.

Of course, no *GTA Online* update is complete without a sale on vehicles. This time, the Bravado Half-track and Vom Feuer Anti-Aircraft Trailer are 40% off, perfect for turning Southern San Andreas into your own personal war zone. Plenty of other vehicles have been discounted (see the list below), and the Gun Van is stocked with goodies, including a Service Carbine for half price (bargain!). Plus, those GTA+ members even get a discount of 40% on the Compact EMP Launcher. You just can't win, can you?

**Here's a list of all other discounts:** * Volatol (Plane) – 40% off * Grotti Stinger TT (Sports) – 40% off * Grotti Visione (Super) – 40% off * Vapid Dominator GT (Muscle) – 40% off * Benefactor Vorschlaghammer (Sedan) – 40% off * Nagasaki Buzzard Attack Chopper (Helicopter) – 40% off * Pfister Neon (Sports) – 40% off * Dinka Postlude (Coupe) – 40% off * Western Company Besra (Plane) – 40% off * Vapid Winky (Off-Road) – 40% off

Also, don't forget to visit the Premium Deluxe Motorsport Showroom and Luxury Autos Showroom for a gander at some fancy wheels. And if you can place in the Top 4 in the LS Car Meet Series for four days in a row you can win a Karin Sultan Classic, whilst also test-driving a Dinka Verus, Vapid Bullet and Declasse Tulip on the Test Track. Or just try your luck at the Lucky Wheel to win a Declasse Granger 3600LX. Honestly, it's overwhelming!

Rumours of purchasable mansions are also circling, meaning Rockstar may be planning a grand finale. With *GTA 6* looming on the horizon in 2026, this could be one of the final updates for *GTA Online*. But fair dinkum, they seem intent on going out with a bang. And probably a few explosions. Typical *GTA*, really.
