Lenovo's Legion Gaming Community is giving away free Steam keys for Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 1 starting August 19, though supplies are strictly limited.
PC players looking to add a masterclass in narrative design to their library have a limited window to secure a free Steam key for Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 1. Reporting by Game Rant notes that the promotion is hosted by Lenovo's Legion Gaming Community, setting up a first-come, first-served queue system that goes live on August 19 at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET. Because key supplies are finite, interested players will need to move quickly once the drop opens.
Participating requires a few simple steps, including setting up an LGC profile, linking a qualified Steam account that has spent at least five dollars, and heading over to their partner platform Gamesplanet to finalize the voucher redemption. Even though the game launched back in 2012, its gripping emotional weight and foundational choice-driven mechanics still hold up remarkably well today. It remains an essential experience for anyone who somehow missed out on the journey of Lee Everett and Clementine.
Free game drops via hardware communities are always a welcome alternative to standard storefront giveaways, offering a nice surprise for players who keep an eye on ecosystem perks. For those who miss out on this round, LGC has already lined up another giveaway for the emotional narrative title Before Your Eyes on September 2. It is a great reminder to check community hubs and creator networks regularly for hidden perks that stretch your gaming budget further.
