Ritual Games' retro platformer One Gun Guy is currently free to keep on Steam through December 18 as part of the GrabTheGames holiday sale.
If you are looking for a quick and stylish way to fill a half-hour between holiday obligations, Steam has a zero-cost addition waiting for your library. Ritual Games and publisher GrabTheGames are offering their 2022 retro platformer, One Gun Guy, completely free for a limited time. As reported by Polygon, the 100 percent discount is tied to the ongoing holiday sale and will vanish on December 18, after which the game returns to its standard five-dollar price tag.
Built as a straightforward, no-nonsense action platformer, One Gun Guy features a single massive level packed with character upgrades, platforming hazards, collectible coins, and a final boss encounter. Complete with multiple difficulty settings, sharp pixel art, a sci-fi aesthetic, and a charming 8-bit soundtrack, the entire experience clocks in at around 30 minutes. While user reviews on Steam sit at a mixed rating, the price point is unbeatable for anyone wanting a quick hit of nostalgic gaming.
Freebies are always an easy win for building out a cross-platform library on PC, especially when major seasonal sales start rolling in and competing for our attention. Even if your backlog is already overflowing with massive live-service grinds and cinematic epics, adding a bite-sized indie title to your account costs nothing. Head over to Steam to claim your copy before the promotion ends.
