Moonshot Games' extraction shooter Wildgate and strategy hit Total War: Three Kingdoms are currently free to keep on the Epic Games Store until January 8, as reported by Polygon.
PC players looking to expand their libraries without spending anything have a solid window of opportunity right now. As reported by Polygon, Moonshot Games and the Epic Games Store are currently offering the PvPvE extraction shooter Wildgate for free. You have until Thursday, January 8 at 11 a.m. EST to claim it and keep it permanently. Developed by a studio featuring heavy-hitting industry veterans and former Blizzard leadership, Wildgate mixes traditional first-person shooting with ship-to-ship combat across modes like Artifact Brawl and Fleet Battle.
Alongside the extraction shooter, the Epic storefront is also giving away Total War: Three Kingdoms, widely regarded as one of the finest entries in the long-running strategy franchise. Set during the turbulent fall of the Han Dynasty in 3rd-century China, the title earned high praise for turning complex strategic simulations into a deeply compelling human drama. Claiming both games requires nothing more than logging into your Epic Games account before the January deadline.
For communities constantly rotating through seasonal battle passes and live-service grinds, grabbing high-profile titles during free distribution windows is a low-friction way to test new genres. Whether you want to squad up for high-stakes loot extractions or dive into sweeping historical strategy over the weekend, these giveaways offer plenty of hours of entertainment without touching your digital wallet.
