Ghost of Yōtei is launching a new roguelike survival mode called Most Wanted on October 1, featuring unlockable characters and the return of Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima.
Sucker Punch Productions just revealed a major addition for Ghost of Yōtei during the latest PlayStation showcase. Alongside the upcoming Echoes of Sekigahara expansion, the blockbuster hit is getting a single-player roguelike survival mode called Most Wanted. Players will hunt down specific targets, push through increasingly difficult encounters using dynamic modifiers, and unlock a roster of playable characters as they progress.
The standout reward in this new mode is the return of Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima. The development team has updated his original model for the new hardware, complete with all four of his signature katana stances, his classic sticky bomb, and the hankyu bow. Fans can also unleash his iconic Dance of Wrath ultimate skill and terrify foes with the devastating Ghost Stance once the update arrives.
The content drops on October 1 alongside the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion. Current owners can grab the upgrade for $14.99, while newcomers can pick up the full Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition digitally for $69.99. It is a smart way to keep a massive single-player experience fresh while giving long-time fans a strong nostalgic crossover.
As reported by IGN, this roguelike survival mode proves that single-player games can continue to experiment with replayability long after launch. It gives the community a brand-new way to test their combat skills while celebrating the legacy of the franchise.
