Sucker Punch has announced that Ghost of Yotei Legends, the online co-op multiplayer mode, launches as a free update on March 10, bringing new survival maps, story missions, raids, and four distinct classes.
Ghost of Yotei players will soon have a fresh reason to rally their squad. Developer Sucker Punch announced during the PlayStation State of Play that the online co-op multiplayer mode, Legends, arrives as a free update for all owners on March 10. Following the massive success of the multiplayer mode in Ghost of Tsushima, this upcoming release brings a robust suite of cooperative content for players across the PlayStation ecosystem.
At launch, Legends features three distinct mission types to tackle with friends. Survival mode pits teams of up to four against waves of enemies across four unique maps featuring dynamic blessings and curses based on territory control. For smaller squads, Story mode offers 12 missions for pairs, culminating in large-scale four-player Incursions against bosses like the Spider and the Oni. Sucker Punch has also confirmed that a challenging Raid will follow in April, pitting teams against the Dragon and Lord Saito.
Players can choose from four distinct classes at launch: Samurai, Archer, Mercenary, and Shinobi. Each class brings specialized loadouts and tactical options to the battlefield, ranging from the Samurai and their wide weapon variety to the stealth-focused Shinobi. As reported by Victoria Phillips Kennedy on Eurogamer, senior communications manager Andrew Goldfarb shared the team's excitement for the mode's return, building on the strong community foundation established by its predecessor.
