Ghost of Yotei Bringing Back Jin Sakai in Upcoming Most Wanted Mode

Ghost of Yotei is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a new survival mode called Most Wanted, which features the surprise return of Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima as an unlockable playable character.
Sony used its latest State of Play broadcast to detail a massive content roadmap for Ghost of Yotei as the open-world hit approaches its one-year anniversary. Sucker Punch is rolling out a complete edition alongside a new expansion titled Echoes of Sekigahara in October. The update also introduces a combat survival experience called Most Wanted, which tasks players with fighting through waves of enemies and minibosses to claim bounties on members of the Yotei Six.
The standout surprise from the new trailer is the return of Ghost of Tsushima protagonist Jin Sakai as a fully playable character in the Most Wanted mode. Sucker Punch has tuned his kit specifically for the sequel, giving players access to all four of his original combat stances, the Dance of Wrath ultimate, and the terrifying Ghost Stance kill streak. Jin joins a diverse roster that includes Atsu, the kusarigama master Oyuki, and the new spear-wielding NPC Nagato, each bringing distinct weapons and special abilities to the survival mode.
While the original game eventually made its way to PC via a Director's Cut edition, Sony is keeping this content strictly tied to the PlayStation 5 ecosystem for now. Single-player experiences like Ghost of Yotei continue to anchor Sony's console hardware strategy, while multiplayer titles pursue wider multi-platform audiences. Players can dive into the Most Wanted mode and test out Jin Sakai's updated arsenal when the expansion drops next month.
