Ghost of Yotei Adds New Game Plus and More in Major Post-Launch Update

Sucker Punch has announced a major new update for Ghost of Yotei, arriving on November 24, which introduces New Game Plus, the Ghost Flowers currency vendor, extra armor tiers, a stats screen, and mission replayability.

Sucker Punch is gearing up for the first major content drop for Ghost of Yotei, bringing the highly requested New Game Plus mode alongside a suite of new features. According to details shared by the development team via Game Rant, the upcoming patch drops on November 24 and gives players plenty of reasons to dive back into the open-world epic. Completing the main campaign now unlocks New Game Plus alongside two fresh difficulty options and additional trophies while letting players keep their hard-earned gear from their initial playthrough.

The update also introduces a new in-game currency called Ghost Flowers. Players can earn this currency by replaying content and spending it at a dedicated vendor for ten brand-new charms and over thirty bonus cosmetics, including unique armor sets and dyes. To match the elevated challenge of the new difficulties, the patch unlocks an extra tier of upgrades for existing weapons and armor. Quality of life additions are well represented too, bringing a dedicated stats screen, post-game mission replayability, and expanded settings for Photo mode.

For a single-player release that has dominated community spaces and creator streams since its October launch, this update establishes a strong post-launch cadence. Sucker Punch is successfully building on the playbook of its predecessor, giving players fresh incentives to keep exploring the world and sharing their customized gear setups across social feeds. It is a solid win for the community, proving that dedicated single-player experiences still know how to keep players engaged long after the credits roll.
