For fans following the massive indie animation wave on YouTube, the jump from screen to page is officially happening. Oni Press has dropped an extensive new preview gallery for the upcoming Murder Drones #1 comic book, giving us a clear look at how the hit digital series is translating into print. As reported by IGN South Africa, the debut issue features striking interior and cover artwork from a talented roster including Alessio Zonno, Jo Mi-Gyeong, Krooked Glasses, and Patricia MartÃn.
This transition highlights just how much the boundaries between creator-led digital animation and traditional publishing continue to blur. Murder Drones built its dedicated community entirely through episodic YouTube releases from Glitch Productions, turning a niche sci-fi concept into a massive cross-platform phenomenon. Bringing the franchise to a comic format gives the community a tangible piece of digital ownership while expanding the universe beyond the video screen.
The preview pages showcase the signature moody aesthetic and chaotic action that fans expect from the series, proving the art teams are leaning heavily into the distinctive visual style. Whether you have followed the chaotic worker drones from day one or plan to jump into the lore with the first issue, Oni Press is shaping up to deliver an authentic extension of the universe. Head over to IGN South Africa to check out the full ten-image preview gallery and see the variant covers for yourself.
