Gamescom 2026 showcases new footage for Over The Hill alongside a fresh gameplay reveal for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Remastered.
Gamescom 2026 is already delivering major showcases for both entirely new IP and massive nostalgia trips. IGN South Africa recently highlighted two distinct projects commanding attention on the convention floor, starting with the official trailer for the moody atmospheric title Over The Hill. The footage leans heavily into environmental storytelling and tension, setting the stage for what looks to be a compelling narrative journey.
On the returning front, CD Projekt Red continues to squeeze every drop of technical capability out of their dark fantasy masterpiece. A brand new gameplay showcase for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Remastered, titled Songs of the Past, gave fans a deeper look at the visual overhauls and audio enhancements coming to the definitive version of the open world classic.
For players juggling multiple platforms and massive backlogs, these trailers highlight how the industry continues to balance high profile remasters with fresh creative swings. As more hands on impressions emerge from Gamescom, expect both of these titles to dominate creator discussions and community watch parties across Twitch and YouTube over the coming weeks.
