Zynga's mobile puzzle game Game of Thrones: Legends is hosting a special Robb's War event later this month, bringing classic characters and major Westeros storylines to mobile players.
The Game of Thrones franchise is currently experiencing a massive cultural wave across television and streaming. While audiences wait for the next seasons of House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the gaming side of the universe is keeping players busy with a steady rotation of updates. Zynga's mobile puzzle RPG, Game of Thrones: Legends, is leaning heavily into franchise nostalgia with a slate of major limited-time events.
Running from August 27 to August 31, the upcoming Robb's War event will transport players back to the pivotal War of the Five Kings. According to reporting from GameRant, the event introduces a dedicated summon pool featuring key characters such as Robb Stark, Jacaerys Velaryon, Olenna Tyrell, and a variant of Daenerys Targaryen. For players who treat mobile games as a daily social and progression routine, these thematic updates offer a quick hit of universe lore without demanding a heavy console session.
The timing lines up with a broader schedule of in-game clashes. The Battle of Blackwater Bay event recently ran through mid-August, bringing characters like Davos Seaworth and Tyrion Lannister into the mix, followed immediately by an Assault on Rook's Rest event highlighting figures like Oberyn Martell and Tywin Lannister.
While mobile players have plenty of puzzle and strategy titles to cycle through on their phones and tablets, core gamers looking for a deeper PC or console experience are keeping an eye on the horizon. Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, an upcoming real-time strategy game for PC, recently shifted its release window to 2027. If that project manages to capture the scale of Westeros warfare, it could open the door for more AAA adaptations on modern platforms. You can read the original reporting over at GameRant.
