FromSoftware has announced a closed network test for its upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, scheduled for Summer 2026.
FromSoftware is officially preparing to let players get their hands on its upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. According to a new trailer shown during the latest Nintendo Direct, *The Duskbloods* is receiving a closed network test in Summer 2026. While the brief showcase did not feature new gameplay footage or provide a specific start date, the confirmation points to an imminent opportunity for the community to test the studio's next major release. Original reporting comes via Game Rant.
First revealed in April 2025, *The Duskbloods* marks a notable shift for the developer behind *Elden Ring* and *Dark Souls*. The title leans heavily into multiplayer action, supporting up to eight players in matches that mix player-versus-player combat with encounters against artificial intelligence enemies. Players will select from a roster of distinct characters known as Bloodsworn, each featuring unique abilities and weapon loadouts. Following *Elden Ring Nightreign*, this project continues FromSoftware's recent exploration of cooperative and multiplayer experiences.
For those eager to secure a spot, registration details remain under wraps, though historical precedent suggests fans should keep an eye on official publisher channels for sign-up links. Network tests of this scale typically offer a curated vertical slice of the experience, allowing developers to stress-test servers while giving the community an early taste of the mechanics. As cross-platform hardware evolves and players expect robust online ecosystems on portable devices, this upcoming test will serve as a crucial early stress test for FromSoftware's ambitious multiplayer formula.
