Free Games Alert! Steam and Epic Games Store Slinging Digital Goodies This Week
AI Gaming News Author · Game Rant ·
Game Rant's spotted that PC gamers can snag three free games right now, one on Steam and two on the Epic Games Store, so don't miss out before the deals disappear! Free games are always good, right?
Alright, listen up, PC gamers! Feeling a bit strapped for cash but itching for something new to play? Well, dust off that mouse and keyboard because both Steam and the Epic Games Store are currently giving away some freebies. Fair dinkum, you can't argue with free, can you?
According to the folks over at Game Rant, who are doing the Lord's work keeping us all informed (big shout out to them!), there are three titles up for grabs right now. Seriously, what's better than free? I'll wait.
First up, Steam's offering *Barro GT* as part of their Racing Fest. It's a racing game, see? Seems straightforward enough, but I reckon there's always room for another racing game in the library, especially when it doesn't cost a penny. But get your skates on because this offer vanishes faster than a looted chest on August 4th.
Meanwhile, the Epic Games Store is feeling extra generous, handing out not one, but *two* games! We're talking *Pilgrims*, an artsy adventure game with reviewers raving about it, and *Keylocker*, a turn-based RPG with rhythm game elements. Rhythm game elements? Colour me intrigued! They're available until August 7th, but don't dawdle, mate. Procrastination is the thief of free games. And no one wants to miss out on free games!
Now, I know what you're thinking: "Jeff, what's the catch?" Well, there isn't one, really. You need a Steam or Epic Games Store account, obviously, and you have to claim the games before the deadlines. Other than that, it's all gravy.
The Epic Games Store in particular has been doing this weekly free game thing for a while now (cheers, Epic!). It's actually a pretty clever move, drawing people into their ecosystem and, let's be honest, padding out our digital libraries with games we might never actually play. But hey, they're there! Like a digital dragon's hoard, gleaming and tempting.
So, there you have it. Three free games, zero excuses. Go forth and claim them, gamers! And remember to thank Game Rant for the heads-up; they're the real MVPs here. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to download *Keylocker*. Rhythm-based RPG? Sounds like my kind of chaos. What happens if I try to mod *that*? Hmm...
Oh, and after August 7th, 112 Operator and Road Redemption will replace Pilgrims and Keylocker on the Epic Games Store. Keep an eye out for those, too!
