Playground Games has released a hotfix for Forza Horizon 6 after a critical bug threatened player save data, though community members are still reporting issues and turning to support for profile rollbacks.
Playground Games has rolled out a crucial patch for Forza Horizon 6 following reports of a severe bug that risks resetting or completely wiping player save files. According to details shared by Vikki Blake over at Eurogamer, the studio is actively investigating the issue and urging affected drivers to submit a support ticket immediately. The development team noted that getting in touch on the same day the error occurs gives them the best chance to recover profiles by reverting accounts to an earlier cloud state, though players are being warned to hold off on starting new sessions on corrupted profiles while tickets are under review.
Console players are facing specific hurdles with the save system, prompting Xbox to issue detailed workaround guides alongside the patch. Gamers are being advised to disable Quick Resume, ensure they remain online when closing the application, and give the cloud sync process enough breathing room before powering down their hardware. Despite version 37.114.10001.0 landing on PC and Steam alongside a fresh system update for consoles, community forums show that some players with hundreds of hours invested are still hitting roadblocks. With progress tied so deeply to digital ecosystems and continuous online features, losing dozens of hours behind the wheel is a brutal reminder of the risks tied to always online infrastructure.
Aside from technical hiccups, Forza Horizon 6 is also capturing attention for entirely different, player driven reasons. A rogue Drivatar AI racer named bowieknife99 has officially gone viral, terrorizing lobbies and turning into a living urban legend across social feeds and streaming platforms. Between scrambling to secure save files and dodging the most infamous AI driver in racing game history, the community has plenty on its plate right now. If you are diving back into the festival today, make sure your game version is fully updated before hitting the road.
