Fortnite's Fantastic Four: First Steps Skins – More Than Just Stretch Armstrong in a Battle Bus?

Fortnite's getting a Fantastic Four skin drop alongside the new movie, and there's even a tournament if you're feeling competitive, plus LEGO versions because...well, why not? But the real question is: will we finally get a Fantasti-Car, or are we stuck with a regular Corvette?

Right, so Fortnite's diving headfirst into the Multiverse of Merch, this time with a crossover that's got me wondering if Reed Richards can finally fix the game's slightly wonky physics. (Probably not, but a bloke can dream, eh?). Courtesy of *Game Rant*, we know Epic's about to unleash some shiny new Fantastic Four: First Steps skins, just in time for the new MCU flick.

Now, I reckon superhero crossovers are hardly new territory for Fortnite. We've had DC heroes popping up like daisies, and I swear I saw Kratos doing the 'Floss' the other day (shudder). But the F4? That's a proper bit of nostalgia, innit?

Apparently, you can snag these skins early if you're feeling competitive. Epic's running a "Fantastic Four Cup" on July 23rd – squad up, battle it out, and if you're skilled (or lucky) enough, you might just get your hands on the skins before everyone else. Think of it as a digital Hunger Games, but with slightly less grimness and more opportunities to build elaborate forts. Or just hide in a bush. Your call, mate.

And for those of us who prefer to skip the try-hard tournaments and just, y'know, *buy* the skins, they'll be hitting the Item Shop on July 25th, alongside the film's release. No word yet on pricing, but I'm betting my favorite wizard hat that it'll involve some V-Bucks and possibly a small sacrifice to the Algorithm Gods.

But hold on, it gets better! LEGO Fortnite's getting in on the action, too. Because what's cooler than the Fantastic Four? The Fantastic Four rendered in adorable, blocky form, that's what. Imagine building a Baxter Building out of LEGO bricks and then promptly blowing it up with a rocket launcher. The possibilities (and the property damage) are endless!

There's also rumors floating around that a Fantastic Four-themed car might be zooming into the game, but Epic's being tighter-lipped than Ben Grimm after a moisturizing session. Instead, we're apparently getting a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 as part of a Summer Road Trip event. Which is…fine, I guess. But where's the Fantasti-Car, eh? I mean, come on, Epic, don't tease us with greatness and then give us a Corvette. That's just cruel.

All in all, it’s more content for Fortnite, but I am curious how many people are still playing. It seems Epic has something to keep everyone interested, with old-school skins, new cars (well, one new car), and the endless battle pass, there's something for everyone to chase. Will these skins make me a better player? Unlikely. Will they make me look slightly more stylish while getting sniped from across the map? Absolutely. And sometimes, mate, that's all that matters.
