Fortnite's upcoming South Park crossover brings Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Butters to the island with custom mechs, Cartmanland, a free Born in Chaos pass, and a new five-person squad playlist.
Epic Games is bringing South Park to the Fortnite island in a massive crossover launching this week. According to a report by Michael McWhertor at Polygon, the collaboration features Cartman, Kenny, Stan, Kyle, and Butters dropping into the battle royale in full-sized form, complete with custom DIY mech suits packed with deep cuts from the show's history. Cartman rocks an Awesom-O Japanese robot suit, Stan suits up as Cyborg Bill from the classic Chinpokomon episode, and Kenny makes do with a trash day creation while repping a free Battle Pass Peely skin.
The event goes far beyond standard shop skins by introducing dedicated points of interest like Cartmanland and fan-favorite character Towelie arriving as a Sidekick. An animated short released alongside the announcement sets up the narrative framework. Butters exacts his revenge as Professor Chaos using the legendary Stick of Truth, pulling the entire group into the battle royale chaos. Players can grab the outfits from the shop or work through a free Born in Chaos pass to unlock additional rewards during the event, which runs through February 5.
Alongside the cosmetic drops, Epic is rolling out a brand new Quints five-person playlist. This addition solves a classic gaming dilemma by allowing full squads to bring in that fifth wheel friend without leaving anyone behind. By blending deep cuts for longtime fans with practical playlist updates for active lobbies, this crossover proves that Epic is still finding clever ways to shake up the island sandbox.
