A major Fortnite leak suggests a South Park collaboration is on the horizon, featuring custom mech-suit skins, a map boss, and Kenny-themed respawn mechanics.
Fortnite could soon welcome the citizens of Mountain View, as fresh leaks point to a major upcoming crossover with South Park. According to reports from prominent community insider HypeX, and originally covered by Polygon, this potential collaboration goes far beyond a standard item shop bundle. Sources indicate that players can expect custom skins, an on-map boss, a mythic weapon, and a dedicated consumable item if the content makes its way to the live servers.
Adapting younger characters for the battle royale island always presents a design hurdle, but the leak suggests Epic Games will use the same mech suit workaround seen previously with Rick and Morty and The Simpsons. Beyond cosmetics, the reported content includes a gameplay altering Rift Anomaly and a respawn medallion. The medallion reportedly allows players to automatically revive without visiting a reboot van, while the anomaly pays homage to Kenny's running gag by granting that revival mechanic to everyone temporarily.
While Epic Games has not officially confirmed the crossover, timing remains the biggest question for the community. Fortnite is currently rolling out its Chapter 7 Season 1 content, which already features heavy-hitting collaborations like Kill Bill and Back to the Future, alongside upcoming holiday plans. If the South Park update is real, players likely will not see it drop until the new year, giving everyone plenty of time to clear their current battle passes and stock up on V-Bucks.
