Recent leaks indicate that Resident Evil Requiem protagonist Grace Ashcroft is coming to Fortnite on February 28. Players who purchase the new survival horror title through the Epic Games Store will unlock the character skin for free, continuing Capcom and Epic Games' ongoing crossover partnership.
As hype builds for the upcoming launch of Resident Evil Requiem, data miners have given players an early look at the next big crossover coming to Epic Games' battle royale powerhouse. According to recent leaks shared by prominent community insider HYPEX, new protagonist Grace Ashcroft is making the jump to Fortnite just one day after her own game releases. The collaboration continues a long-standing partnership between Capcom and Epic Games, which previously brought iconic survival horror heroes like Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy, and Claire Redfield into the ever-expanding roster.
Timing this crossover to coincide with a major franchise launch is a familiar playbook for Epic Games, turning single-player releases into shared cultural moments across the entire ecosystem. Players looking to grab the new skin can take advantage of a promotional tie-in. Purchasing or pre-ordering Resident Evil Requiem directly through the Epic Games Store will grant a free download for the Grace Ashcroft outfit in Fortnite. Fans just need to make sure they complete the transaction using the exact same Epic account they use to jump into matches on their PC, console, or mobile device.
This kind of cross-platform integration highlights how major publishers continue to use Fortnite as a primary hub for digital engagement and marketing. While survival horror purists might be busy navigating new terrors and uncovering Umbrella's latest secrets, the rest of the community can soon run squad matches as one of Capcom's newest heroines. It is a smart cross-promotional play that lets players show off their fandom across multiple genres while keeping the island's endless stream of pop culture crossovers rolling.
