Epic Games is leaning hard into gaming history for the next major update. According to reporting by Polygon, official teasers have confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, titled Override, will be a full Gaming Legends season. After weeks of speculation suggesting a heavy focus on hacking mechanics, cross-promotional hints from Sega and official Discord channels have blown the doors wide open on a massive wave of upcoming collaborations.
Sega dropped a major hint via the official Sonic the Hedgehog social channels, showcasing a Green Hill Zone inspired POI complete with Peely and a high-speed Sonic sighting. Fans are already dissecting the footage for gameplay clues, particularly a potential mythic item that lets players curl up and boost across the map at incredible speeds. Background details in the teaser also featured clouds shaped like Tetriminoes, cementing the long-rumored Tetris crossover before launch day on August 20.
The community detective work does not stop there. The official Fortnite Discord server recently launched a Hint Transmissions channel distributing Lobby Hack codes. Prominent community leakers pointed out that one of the codes, TakeYourHeart, heavily references Persona 5, alluding to yet another major franchise joining the island. As battle passes and digital crossovers continue to drive live service engagement, this upcoming season is shaping up to be a massive crossover event for cross-platform players.
