Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.56 Brings Beastmaster and Bestiary Tracking

Patch 7.56 introduces the Beastmaster limited job to Final Fantasy 14, complete with solo challenges and an extensive bestiary collection guide.

Final Fantasy 14 has officially expanded its limited job roster with patch 7.56, introducing the highly anticipated Beastmaster class. Similar to the Blue Mage, this solo-focused role requires players to travel across Eorzea to track down and collect monsters for their bestiary before jumping into combat. Alongside the collection mechanics, Beastmasters also gain access to the Crucible of the Unbroken, a dedicated challenge arena mirroring the Masked Carnival.

Unlocking the new job comes with a few prerequisites for interested adventurers. Players need to own the Dawntrail expansion, complete the main scenario quest titled The Ultimate Weapon, and push at least one combat job to level 50 or higher. Meeting these criteria allows you to speak with the Excited Adventurer in New Gridania and kick off the introductory quest.

Filling out the Master Bestiary involves using the Catch ability on eligible monsters right before defeating them. Polygon has put together a comprehensive tracking guide outlining where to find creatures ranging from early-game Ground Squirrels in the Central Shroud to classic dungeon encounters like the Behemoth in the Labyrinth of the Ancients, helping players build out their summoning horns efficiently.
