SNK is keeping the momentum high for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, dropping a fresh character trailer highlighting the return of taekwondo master Kim Kaphwan. Fans of the classic fighting game franchise are getting a great look at his updated moveset, which blends his signature aerial kicks with the striking new visual style of the upcoming release. SNK is leaning hard into modern presentation while keeping the legacy mechanics that veteran players expect.
The bigger surprise during the recent Nintendo Direct showcase was a crossover teaser confirming that Sano and Ryuguji from Tokyo Revengers are heading into the roster. Cross-franchise collaborations are becoming standard practice for modern fighting games to keep communities engaged across platforms, and bringing in anime icons is a proven way to pull in new viewers from streaming and creator spaces.
As fighting games continue to evolve into long-term live service ecosystems, these kinds of crossover events are vital for maintaining player retention and Twitch viewership. City of the Wolves is shaping up to be a major hub for the genre when it launches. SNK is balancing nostalgic appeal with fresh content drops to keep both competitive grinders and casual fans hooked.
